I'm Gughan Ravikumar, a fun loving soul who also loves coding, food, and a good hot cup of traditional South Indian filter coffee. I currently reside in Vancouver BC, a city that I completely and utterly love, despite its severe lack of the latter. If the weather permits (and it rarely does in Raincouver), I enjoy going out on hikes.

I began writing this blog as a way of documenting my thought process while working on projects. The blog is intended to be an easy read that doesn't get too into the nitty gritty, so that people who don't know to code can also enjoy it.

Code Reido

Why is it called Code Reido?

Well, its a long story. When I was a kid, I was a huge fan of the Mortal Kombat character, 'Subzero'. When I first started gaming, I took a stylized version of that as my gamer tag. And over time, $vbZ3r0 became my online identity.

So when I started this blog, I wanted a cool sounding name with a similar theme. Japanese words sound super cool, but you know what's cooler than random Japanese words? Japanese words for 'cool'.

Rei (零) is Japanese for 'zero'; and Reido (零度) means freezing point. And to be honest, it sounds badass. So I went with it.

That's it. There's no deep meaning behind the name. I chose it cuz it sounds cool.
